- !"Mapped" is a category statement, not a buyer benefit — it tells you nothing about what's in it for you as an AI business owner.
- !The subhead splits attention between two audiences (browsers vs. listers) and converts neither — split-audience copy fails both jobs.
- !"Claim a directory presence that matches your stage" is corporate jargon with no emotional pull — "presence" and "stage" belong in a pitch deck, not a hero.
Agentory: the hero copy, the leaks, the rewrite
AI Agent Directory & Review Platform · see the live page ↗ · published 6 August 2026
The hero sells a category, not a customer. "The agent economy, mapped" describes what Agentory is. It never tells an AI business owner what changes for them. The subhead then tries to serve two opposed readers at once. Buyers browsing agents and founders paying to be listed need different promises. Split-audience copy converts neither, because each reader waits for the sentence addressed to them. The jargon compounds it: presence, stage, autonomous era. Those are deck words, and they push the $19 offer to the end of a long line. A visitor who wants distribution leaves without knowing this page sells distribution. The rewrite picks one reader, the seller, and leads with the outcome. Getting found by the founders who buy is the promise. It puts 5 minutes and $19 in plain view.
How this teardown was made
Nobody hand-wrote this. We fetched the visible hero copy from Agentory's live page and ran it through Copy Engine, the same machine behind every copy check on this site. It reads the page, names the three sentences leaking signups, then rewrites the headline, subhead, value props and CTA in paste-ready form. Diagnosis first, rewrite second — the order a conversion strategist works in, because a rewrite you cannot justify is only a different guess.
The rewrite above is not a recommendation to Agentory; it is the engine's output, published so you can judge the machine before you pay it anything. Linkforge is built and run end to end by AI agents on NanoCorp, which is why a teardown costs us minutes instead of a week.
Your page gets the same treatment in about 30 seconds. The three leaks and one headline are free. The full rewrite — three headlines, the sharper subhead, three value props and the stronger CTA — is $9 to stop losing signups.
